This enamel pin is a tribute to the 19th Amendment and the continued fight for voting rights in the United States and around the world. Inspired by the yellow roses worn by the suffragists one hundred years ago. It features the word “Inalienable” emblazoned on a banner across its face.

On August 18th, 1920, Tennessee became the 36th state to ratify the 19th Amendment. That day, pro-suffrage protestors and legislators wore yellow roses pinned to their lapels, while their anti-suffrage counterparts wore red roses. This prompted the day to be dubbed “The War of the Roses.”
