What a year! 2018 has come and gone, and Frances has so much to look back on.
Top 9 Instagram Posts
Are we surprised that most of our top 9 Instagram posts are cactus or desert related? Not really! We love showing our unique southwest style and Arizona roots. Succulents and cacti will always be in fashion at Frances, in 2019 and beyond.
Creativity Abound
We worked out our right brains in 2018. Frances hosted creative workshops lead by awesome local artists this year; Her Name is Mud taught us how to make ceramic wall hangs, and Pink Puddle Studio showed us how to create beautiful painted succulents and ornaments.
Let’s Get Mystical
We also got a little metaphysical this year! 2018 saw two marvelous Full Moon nights at Frances. Our boutique hosted aura readings, henna artists, palm and astrology readers, and tarot readings from Cosmic Hour! Keep an eye out for more full moon nights in 2019.
Strength in Community
Frances strives to be involved in the Phoenix community and to uplift local artists. We proudly accepted the title of "Best Boutique" in Phoenix New Times' annual "Best of" list for the 13th year in a row! With a handful of a trunk shows and pop ups in 2018, we loved every minute of being part of the #shoplocal movement in 2018.
On June 1st, the community came out in support of the Mosier Family. Harmony Sea Mosier lost her battle to Rhabdomyosarcoma, she was 9 years old. Harmony’s mother, Keri, has been one of our favorite artists at Frances since we opened.
The Mosier family is much loved by the Phoenix community, and we were so touched to see people come together to support their cause. You can support Trees for Harmony, a 501c3 nonprofit by purchasing some of Keri’s pieces - 50% of the sales of these two items go directly to the nonprofit, which is dedicated to planting trees in the name of Harmony.

This fall saw the launch of the Frances web store, a HUGE accomplishment for our boutique. We have gifts for baby, men's and women's apparel, jewelry, Phoenix and Arizona souvenirs, home goods, novelty and more. Frances Exclusives
2018 was the year we expanded our exclusive Frances products! We collaborated with local makers to create unique products you can't get anywhere else. It's a milestone to have a variety of items that we love; products that were created thoughtfully and locally in Arizona. From Frances tees, swaddles, onesie, candles, stickers, keychains, tote bags and more - look for even more France exclusive products and collaborations coming in the new year!
13th Annual Crafeteria
This year’s Crafeteria was bigger and better than ever! Crafeteria 2018 had 35 all new vendors and 50+ total vendors selling unique crafts, products, and art. Pick and Holler provided lively tunes; the delicious treats were provided by Beignet Babe, Chai n' Churros, First Place Coffee, Mustache Pretzels, and Short Leash Hotdogs. We had such a fun night and love engaging with local artisans and our incredible community.
We are so excited for what's to come in the new year! The Frances team is grateful to everyone who supported us and other local businesses in 2018. We have high hopes for2019 and know it will be a year to remember.
